Meet Gretchen Zimmer, Rocky Top Park Owner and Manager






 






    Rocky Top owner and manager Gretchen Zimmer has more than six years experience running a dog park and has visited and researched numerous other dog parks. She holds a BA degree from Lehigh University, and has completed several small business training courses and workshops.

Pictured at left are Gretchen and her dogs, Cooper and Camas. Both of these dogs have their AKC Canine Good Citizen Certificates and have qualified to become Therapy Dogs

   

 

As a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, Gretchen has attended numerous seminars and workshops* on dog behavior and training. She has trained dogs in basic obedience, competition obedience and agility sports, and has served as a volunteer assistant at local puppy kindergarten and basic obedience training classes.

Gretchen has been a dog owner herself for 20 years and has also fostered many homeless dogs (this involves rescuing homeless dogs from shelters and providing food, housing, grooming, veterinary care, training and socialization to help them become good family pets and find permanent new homes).
