Meet Gretchen Zimmer, Rocky Top Park Owner and Manager
 
    Rocky Top owner and manager Gretchen Zimmer has more than three years experience running a dog park, has visited and researched quite a few other dog parks, and is a long-time participant in OffLeashDogs (an internet-based interest group). She has completed several small business training courses and workshops* and also holds a BA degree from Lehigh University.
Pictured at left are Gretchen and her dogs, Cooper and Camas. Both of these dogs have their AKC Canine Good Citizen Certificates and have qualified to become Therapy Dogs!
   
 

As a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, Gretchen has attended numerous seminars and workshops* on dog behavior and training. She has trained dogs in basic obedience, competition obedience and agility sports, and has served as a volunteer assistant at local puppy kindergarten and basic obedience training classes.

Gretchen has been a dog owner herself for 15 years and has also fostered many homeless dogs (this involves rescuing homeless dogs from shelters and providing food, housing, grooming, veterinary care, training and socialization to help them become good family pets and find permanent new homes).
