SMALL DOG SOCIALS

Rocky Top Dog Park hosts weekend "Socials" for smaller-breed dogs.

PUPPY PLAY GROUPS

Puppy Play Groups for puppies up to seven months of age are held on Saturdays & Sundays and once a week in the evening.

The schedule for these "small dog gatherings" is Saturday & Sunday from 1 PM - 3 PM.

The gatherings take place in a separate fenced, grass-surfaced area known as the Garden.
How long does a social last? It depends on the group and/or the weather. If it's a nice day, and it's a good group of small dogs, the owners tend to stay for a couple of hours.

Will there be medium or large dogs in the Garden? Yes, from time to time, owners with medium to large dogs will come in, but the guideline is that only large dogs who are good around small dogs may enter.

Access to "The Garden" area is $5 per dog for visitors. For more information on non-member hours, see the Park Hours and Policies section.

First visit?  Please bring shot records.

This time of year, the Small Dogs also meet in the evening during the week.  However, this meetup requires a park membership.  Get one this weekend!

All puppies come at 11 o'clock Saturdays & Sundays.  If it's your puppy's very first time, come a little early to get signed in.  If your puppy is shy or very young, come a little early to be the first one in.  The fee is $4 a session.

The recommended minimum age for attending the play groups is 12 weeks old.

First visit? Please bring vaccination records. Puppies do not have to have finished all puppy shots.   Puppies do not have to have their first rabies shot.

The play times for puppies take place in a separate fenced area. During the summer months, there is a kiddie pool and plenty of fresh water so that the pups can keep cool.
